In You Run the Zoo, kids practice resource management by planning enclosures and choosing the animal residents of their very own zoo. The activity uses counting into the hundreds plus basic addition, subtraction and multiplication, so it is recommended for ages 8-12. The 90-minute session at the West Tampa Branch Library has room for 8 children; registration is required through the library. The same program runs again at Maureen B. Gauzza Public Library on January 14.
