About this adventure
Each holiday season the Tampa Downtown Partnership sets up a real ice rink in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on the Riverwalk, alongside Winter Village's holiday shops, cafe, silent disco and decorations. Skating sessions are 75 minutes and the ticket price includes skate rental, so families do not need to bring their own skates. All skating is by timed ticket bought online in advance or with an on-site QR code; if a time slot is not shown, it is sold out. Kids under 12 pay a lower rate than older skaters. The village itself is free to wander, so non-skating family members can watch from the rink side or browse the shops. On Thursday nights college students get $2 off rentals from 5 to 9 p.m. Dogs are not allowed on the ice. Ice-skating shows by skilled skaters are planned on select nights, with dates still to be announced. Check Winter Village's Facebook page for weather and real-time closures.
