About this adventure
The Military Aviation Museum's annual Thanksgiving-weekend family event in Virginia Beach. Each morning at 10 am, weather permitting, Santa flies in on a vintage airplane (the reindeer are resting up for Christmas) and then poses for photos with children. Families can walk among the museum's vintage aircraft and explore a hangar filled with model train layouts winding through miniature towns, landscapes and twinkling villages. The museum collects new, unwrapped toys and donations for families in need, and the gift store is open for holiday shopping. To keep it manageable for little ones, attendance is capped at 1,300 guests a day. Buy tickets early: sold-out days have no tickets at the door.
