About this adventure
Classical Arts Entertainment brings the United European Ballet Company's touring Nutcracker to Norfolk's Harrison Opera House for one weekend. Set to Tchaikovsky's score, the ballet follows young Clara through dancing snowflakes, the Nutcracker Prince's battle and the Land of Sweets, with the Sugar Plum Fairy and the international dances in Act II. The production has an international cast of European dancers, including leading Ukrainian artists, plus hand-painted sets and elaborate costumes. Families can choose a Friday or Saturday evening show or the Sunday matinee, which suits younger children best. A full-length Nutcracker usually runs about two hours with an intermission. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster.
