Riverbend Park's naturalists introduce the prehistoric sharks, fish, reptiles and invertebrates that lived in the area millions of years ago in this program on Sunday, October 18, 2026, starting at 10 am. Children take a short hike 'in the footsteps of the dinosaurs', search for fossilized shark teeth in an archaeological dig, and make a dinosaur-themed craft. It is listed for ages 4 to adult and suits preschool and elementary dinosaur fans with a grown-up. The fee is $12 and registration is online through Fairfax County Parks.
