The Children's Science Center Lab at Fair Oaks Mall turns into the Haunted Lab for all timed entries from October 3 to November 3, 2026. Alongside the usual weekend Lab activities, children hunt for glowing creatures hidden around the decorated Lab with real UV flashlights, use physics to launch toy spiders onto a giant web, and play tunes on a 'Spooky Slime Piano'. Visitors who come in costume get a prize. The Lab is designed for children ages 2 to 12 and their families and is open Saturdays and Sundays (and school holidays) in two-hour sessions at 10 am, 1 pm and 3:30 pm. Tickets are timed and limited, with a $2 discount for buying online; children under 17 must be with a paid adult.
