About this adventure

A Saturday merit badge clinic for members of Scouts America at the Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, endorsed by the Atlanta and Northwest Georgia Councils. Each Scout signs up for one of two badges, Pottery or American Indian Culture, and works on it from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with qualified museum educators. The museum is known for its Western and American Indian art collection, which ties in with the American Indian Culture badge. Lunch is included for Scouts: pizza, a cookie and a drink. Classroom space is limited, so Scouts must register in advance, and the fee depends on the badge chosen, with Pottery costing a little more. It suits Scouts who want to complete a badge in a single day with museum staff rather than over several troop meetings.
