About this adventure
Over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend the Children's Museum of Atlanta stages a short daily performance in which Atlanta actor and teaching artist Markell Williams recites an abridged version of Dr. King's I Have A Dream speech on the CMA Stage at noon. Williams has worked with the Alliance Theatre, True Colors, Horizon Theatre and the Center for Puppetry Arts, among others, and has screen credits on Will Trent and Atlanta. The abridged format keeps the speech within young children's attention span and gives parents a natural way to start a conversation about Dr. King during a holiday-weekend museum visit downtown, by Centennial Olympic Park.
