About this adventure
The children's department at Fulton County Library System's Cascade Branch in southwest Atlanta runs a holiday scavenger hunt on the afternoon before Thanksgiving, when many children are already out of school. On Wednesday, November 25, from 4 to 5 p.m., children under 12 search the library for a hidden pumpkin; those who find it win a turkey decoration to take home and put together. The library provides the materials. Spots are limited to ten children and registration is required through the library's online events calendar, which closes when the event starts. It is a short, low-key outing that pairs well with checking out holiday books, and it suits early readers and younger children who enjoy a hunt with a small prize at the end. The branch is on Cascade Road SW near the Cascade Heights neighborhood.
