About this adventure

Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville holds a quieter early-entry hour for children and adults who are overwhelmed by crowds and noise. On the weekend of November 21–22, registered families get the museum from 9 to 10 a.m., before it opens to the general public at 10. During that hour the planetarium keeps its doors open and plays a five-minute loop of space images with soft classical music under low light, free for registered guests. A Quiet Space room is available on request at any visit. Security staff stand at the front door to make sure no child leaves without an adult, and only registered families are admitted during the hour. The museum publishes a social story guide written from a child's point of view so families can plan the visit and the order of exhibits in advance. Space is limited and registration is recommended; non-members pay regular admission ($16 for ages 3–17, $20 for adults).
