A Howl-O-Ween guided hike for families and their dogs. Rangers lead a one-mile loop while teaching the B.A.R.K. Ranger rules for keeping pets safe on trails, and every pup that finishes receives a B.A.R.K. Ranger certificate. Costumes for dogs and owners are encouraged but optional. The trail has a few steep inclines, steps and rocky sections with sandy flats. Dogs must be friendly with other people and pets, stay on a six-foot leash, and owners must bring waste bags, water, a dish and treats. Meet at the playground area by the trail map sign near the restroom at 10 am; the hike is weather dependent and is cancelled in bad weather. A fun Halloween-morning outing for dog-loving kids.
