On the day after Thanksgiving, Reisterstown Library leads a nature walk on the nearby Franklin Woodland Trails, sharing lessons about Native American culture and botany from Robin Wall Kimmerer's 'Braiding Sweetgrass for Young Adults'. Participants meet in the library lobby and walk out to the trail together. The hour-long walk is listed for early elementary through teens (ages 6–17), making it a good family activity for school-age children during the long weekend. Dress for the weather and wear walking shoes. No registration is indicated in the library feed.
