About this adventure
Havre de Grace opens its holiday season on the first Friday of December with the Holly Jolly Parade. The parade starts at Union Avenue and St. John Street, runs down St. John Street to Washington Street and ends at Congress Avenue. Afterwards Santa Claus helps the mayor light the city tree live on stage at the corner of Washington, St. John and Green Streets. Once the tree is lit, Santa Land at 450 Pennington Avenue opens so children can visit Santa. The event is part of the city's First Fridays and is listed with music and outdoor activities.
