Lights on the Bay is the SPCA of Anne Arundel County's long-running drive-through holiday light show at Sandy Point State Park, now in its fourth decade. Families stay in the car for a two-mile scenic drive along the Chesapeake Bay past about 70 animated and stationary light displays. Kids can pick up a scavenger-hunt card at the gate and look for items along the route, and 3-D glasses are sold at the entrance for $5 to make the lights pop. Santa makes appearances on select days. The show runs every night including holidays, from November 23 to January 3: Sunday–Thursday 5–9 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 5–10 p.m. Admission is per vehicle and supports the animals in the SPCA's care; buying online through Eventbrite adds a processing fee, while paying at the gate has none. Military and first responders get $5 off at the gate on December 21 and 27, 2026.
