About this adventure

Children ages 5 to 10, each with an adult, mark Día de los Muertos at Howard County Library System's Glenwood Branch by painting a rock to keep. The session opens with the holiday itself: its symbols and colors, and why families remember and honor loved ones, explored through stories and conversation. Then everyone turns a plain rock into a colorful keepsake inspired by the tradition, with all supplies provided. The program lasts 45 minutes in the branch's Pindell Room on a Tuesday afternoon. There is no advance registration; tickets are given out at the Children's Desk 15 minutes before it starts, so plan to arrive a little early.
