On this hands-on Cromwell Valley Park program, participants explore the park to gather natural materials such as grasses, pine needles and flexible stems that can be used for weaving. After learning how people have used plant fibers for thousands of years, they try simple cordage and weaving techniques and make a small nature craft to take home. The two-hour Sunday afternoon program is for ages 10 and up, so it suits older children, tweens and their adults. It costs $3 per person and registration is required. Dress for walking outdoors.
