Pete the Cat, the groovy feline from the picture-book series, visits the Children's Museum of New Hampshire in Dover as part of its Books Alive program, which brings beloved children's book characters to the museum several times a year. Children can listen to a story, do literacy activities and crafts, count Pete's four groovy buttons and pose for photos with the costumed character. The character is on the museum floor from 10:00 to 10:30 am during the morning play session (9 am-noon) and from 2:00 to 2:30 pm during the afternoon session (1-4 pm). Activities are included with museum admission and free for members; online reservations are strongly suggested because the museum runs timed play sessions.
