Children ages 4 and up and their caregivers build a gingerbread-style house out of cardboard at the Peabody Institute Library's West Branch on a Saturday morning in December. It is a no-bake take on the holiday tradition: kids decorate their house with craft materials and take it home, making it a good fit for families who want the fun without the sugar and mess of a real gingerbread kit. The one-hour program is held in the branch's Community Room. It is free and open to the public, but space is limited and registration is required; registration opens Saturday, November 28 at 9am on the library's calendar.
