Commonwealth Ballet dancers visit the Maynard Public Library's Storytime Room for a reading of The Nutcracker storybook accompanied by excerpts of the ballet danced to the music. Afterward, children can ask the dancers questions and pose for photos with them in costume. It suits young children who are curious about ballet and families planning to see the full Nutcracker this season. The program runs 10:30 to 11:30 am on Saturday, December 5.
