Commonwealth Ballet Company's fully staged Nutcracker, with its pre-professional dancers, children's cast and guest artists dancing Clara's holiday dream to Tchaikovsky's score, plays eight performances over two weekends at the Eleanor Welch Casey Theater at Regis College in Weston, a MetroWest holiday tradition with free parking and no drive into Boston. Regular performances run about two hours with one intermission and are recommended for ages 4 and older. The 1:00 pm show on Friday, November 27 is a reduced-price Sensory and Family-Friendly performance: about one hour, with all of Act I including the Snowflakes plus some Act II dances, suitable for children of all ages, with a hands-on Behind the Ballet Discovery Room in the Carney Gallery at noon and a downloadable social story. Group discounts are available through the CBC box office.
