A small-group behind-the-scenes maple sugaring tour on MLK weekend at Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary in Sharon, which has celebrated sugaring for more than 45 years. Families walk the trails to see how the sanctuary taps its sugar maples, follow the sap from collection to the working evaporator, and learn how methods have changed from colonial times to today, with time to ask an educator questions and watch demonstrations up close. The tour ends with a tasting of real maple syrup. Trails may be icy or uneven. For families with children 5 and older; severe weather may cancel or postpone the tour.
