Just before Christmas the Museum of York County looks at reindeer as real animals: a survivor species that once roamed the Piedmont region, the only deer in which both males and females grow antlers, and an animal that has shaped human culture for more than 10,000 years. Activities run 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 23, during winter break, and suit school-age children and families visiting the museum.
