Fifth-generation farm near Lake Norman. Each October visitors take a hay wagon to a 20+ acre jack-o'-lantern pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin off the vine (vines are prickly; gloves or a pocket knife help). Reservations are required for pumpkin picking. The separate Scarrigan Farms haunted trail on October evenings is not for kids (not for under 12).
