Throughout October, Downtown Fort Mill is lined with one-of-a-kind scarecrows built by local businesses, schools, organizations and families for the 12th annual Scarecrow Crawl. Families can stroll the displays with the town's crawl map and play the Scarecrow Crawl Scavenger Hunt: find 30 pictured scarecrows, number them on the sheet and email a photo to the town or drop it at the Farmers Market town tent (106 N. White St., Saturdays 9–noon) or Town Hall (205 N. White St.) by October 24 for a chance at prize packs. Public voting on Facebook runs October 7–25, and a separate Fall Duck Hunt through local businesses also runs to October 24. Free.
