About this adventure

The Town of Landis in southern Rowan County holds its 9th annual downtown tree lighting on Tuesday evening, November 24, 2026, at the future home of the D.C. and Frances Linn Community Park on N. Central Avenue. From 4 to 7 p.m. the street fills with holiday activities: children can meet Frosty and the Grinch, make kids' crafts and write a letter to Santa, and food vendors sell dinner and snacks. The town tree is lit at 6 p.m. It is a small-town, walk-around evening that suits families with young children; dress warmly since everything is outdoors.
