About this adventure
Museum & More is an afternoon program at the Andrew Jackson Museum in Andrew Jackson State Park near Lancaster. The museum covers the childhood and adolescence of the nation's seventh president, with a self-guided museum tour and four park films. During Museum & More, the park adds extra activities that can change from visit to visit: visitors might meet a costumed living history interpreter, talk with a ranger about a variety of topics, watch a weaving or sewing demonstration, or see how staff maintain the park's reproduction weapons and cookware. Some sessions may include a chance to try something hands-on or make something to take home. The current listing is Friday, October 30, 2026, from 3 to 4 p.m.
