The Town of Matthews holds an annual Noon Year's Eve Party for families inside the Fullwood Theater at the Matthews Community Center, letting young children ring in the new year at midday instead of staying up until midnight. The town's page announces the December 31, 2026 date and says tickets go on sale on Monday, November 2; the start time, ticket price and age guidance had not yet been published when the page was read, so families should check back after tickets open. The event is presented by CenterWell.
