Southview Recreation Center invites parents and children to a Halloween-morning brunch on October 31 from 10 a.m. to noon in the center's gym. The center promises a morning of spooky Halloween fun and plenty of pancakes, so children can come in costume and start their Halloween with breakfast and activities before trick-or-treating later in the day. Registration is required through the county's ActiveNet site and spots are limited (13 openings remained when checked). Questions go to the center at 980-314-1105 (ask for Kristin) or SVRC@Mecknc.gov.
