A sunset program on Thursday, October 29, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Creek Bend Nature Center in LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve. After an indoor talk on the natural history of native owls and their place in human culture, the group heads into the woods at dusk to look and listen for great horned owls and screech owls. Free; advance registration required. A good fit for school-age kids who can walk quietly with their family.
