About this adventure

On Chicago Public Schools non-attendance days, Chicago Children's Theatre runs one-day theatre arts camps at its West Loop building, 100 S Racine Ave. Campers rotate through acting, music, movement and design classes; the theatre says past days have included songwriting, scene devising, clowning, animation, circus, puppet design, improv, yoga and prop making, and that each day of camp is different. Camp days in the window are November 2, November 3 and November 11, and the winter break days December 28, 29 and 30; families sign up for one day or more. Camp runs 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with free before care from 8:30 and free after care until 5:30 p.m. Registration is $110 per day plus fees, and financial assistance is available through an application on the theatre's site. Questions go to the theatre's education staff at (312) 374-8827.
