Families build and decorate a gingerbread house together at Eola Community Center in Aurora, then present it to a panel of judges for a chance at prizes. Teams get 90 minutes, and the Fox Valley Park District provides the gingerbread kits and all of the decorating fixings, so nothing needs to be brought from home. A registration covers a family of up to four, and adults must be registered as well; the listing says ages 2 and up. It takes place on Friday, December 4 from 6 to 7:30 pm. Registering by December 3 gets the $24 rate, while day-of registration costs $32. It is a good fit for families with preschoolers through tweens who enjoy a little friendly competition.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Read via the park district events API. Page says registration includes families of up to 4 and also that adults must register, so whether $24 is per family or per person is not fully clear.
