Over winter break DuPage Children's Museum adds Winter Break Wonderland, a set of frosty indoor activities built around a sock-skating rink where kids glide, spin and slide in their socks. Around the rink are a cocoa counter for pretend math and measuring, a mini Zamboni table, pop-up snowball motion experiments, ice-block building, ribbons for skating performances, mini snow forts, an iceberg buoyancy station with arctic animals, a winter smells station, a pretend snow box and a cozy cabin respite area under 'northern lights'. It runs Saturday, December 19 through Monday, January 4, and everything is included with admission or membership. Bring cotton socks (the museum suggests turning grippy socks inside out); sock skating involves sliding and the risk of falls. Designed for children 0–10, with separate spaces for under-twos.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation

Detail page omits the year; weekdays (Sat Dec 19, Mon Jan 4) match 2026–27 and not 2025–26, and it sits after the 2026-dated Monopoly and Merry Museum events on the Family Fun index. Holiday closures within the range not checked, so occurrenceDates may include closed days (e.g., Dec 25, Jan 1).
