From December 1 through December 19 the Independence Branch Library fills its reading garden with trees for a winter walk. Families can enjoy hot chocolate, complete a wintry scavenger hunt and follow a story walk of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. The walk is open every weeknight from 5 to 8:30 pm during that period. On Saturday, December 19, a closing celebration runs 5–8 pm with crafts and cocoa, plus a holiday concert by the Bravo Ensemble from 6 to 7 pm. The library lists it for all ages; the reading garden is outdoors, so dress for December weather.
