About this adventure
James A. Garfield National Historic Site in Mentor preserves the Mentor home and grounds of James A. Garfield, the 20th U.S. president. Park rangers lead guided house tours that start after 10 a.m. in the November-April season, with the last tour starting between 3 and 4 p.m.; call the morning of your visit for exact times. The visitor center and grounds can be explored on your own. There is no entrance fee. Groups of six or more need a reservation, and schools can arrange weekday tours.
