About this adventure
The Chalet in Strongsville's Mill Stream Run Reservation runs twin ice toboggan chutes every winter. Riders climb 108 steps to the top while staff carry the toboggans up on a lift, then one to four people from the same group slide down together. Every rider must be at least 42 inches tall (children are height-checked at the ticket booth and cannot ride on a lap) and must wear gloves or mittens that cover the fingertips; gloves are sold at the booth. Timed reservations are required this season, but they only set your check-in hour: you can ride until closing, and waits of 20-30 minutes are typical, longer at the top of the hour. Food comes from the concession stand; picnic tables and two charcoal grills sit in the grove outside.
