On the first Sunday of every month the Columbus Zoo runs Quiet Hours during its first four hours of operation, with reduced sounds, music and visual stimuli for a more sensory-friendly visit. Sensory kits with noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses and fidget devices can be rented at Guest Relations for a $10 refundable deposit, and some attractions reduce noise and visual effects seasonally. Quiet Hours are included with regular admission and free for members; safety sounds remain in place. Upcoming first Sundays are November 1, December 6 and January 3.
