The touring Hip Hop Nutcracker remixes Tchaikovsky's score with hip hop dance in a holiday show billed for the whole family. Directed and choreographed by Jennifer Weber, it features a dozen dancers, a DJ, a violinist and MC Kurtis Blow, who opens with a short set. Maria-Clara and the Nutcracker Prince battle mice and visit the land of sweets, moved from 19th-century Germany to contemporary New York City through digital graffiti and projections. One performance only at the Palace Theatre.
