Upper Arlington Winter Fest and Tree Lighting

About this adventure

Upper Arlington's Winter Fest is the city's community holiday tree lighting, held after dark in Mallway Park on Arlington Avenue. Parks & Recreation runs the evening: the community tree is lit, Santa Claus is on hand for visits, a bonfire burns with s'mores, ice sculptors give demonstrations, and holiday activities are set up for kids of all ages. It is an outdoor, walk-around evening, so families should dress for the cold and plan on standing and strolling through the park; strollers work on the park paths. The city calls it one of its most loved holiday traditions and a kickoff to the season, which makes it a good first holiday outing for younger children who can meet Santa without a ticketed line elsewhere. No fee or registration is mentioned on the calendar entry.
