- City of Midlothian with downtown merchants
Downtown Midlothian's merchants hand out candy at Downtown Trick or Treat on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. For safety, N. 8th Street is closed to through traffic during the event. Participating merchants are asked to give out prepackaged candy only, with no other food or drinks. The event goes ahead in light rain but will be cancelled in severe weather. The two-hour window on the Friday before Halloween ends around sunset, which makes it an easy daylight trick-or-treat for toddlers and young children. The city calendar gives no single street address; plan on the N. 8th Street area of downtown.
