In this Girls Nature Workshop, run by the Fort Worth Garden Club and Fort Worth Botanic Garden, girls ages 7–13 learn about the most primitive true flowering plant in evolutionary history, a species that has survived more than 95 million years. Using its leaves, each girl makes a poinsettia-inspired holiday 'blossom' to take home. The workshop is on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., with check-in at the BRIT building (park in the Main Lot). Registration closes Wednesday, December 2. An adult must come with each child. The series isn't designed around Girl Scout badge requirements, but Scouts are welcome to do badge work there. Petals and badges aren't sold on site.
