About this adventure

Christmas in the Garden returns for a second season at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden: a self-guided, one-mile evening trail lit with more than a million lights and 22 installations, set to a Sony Music soundtrack. New this year are the Neon Gallopers, Nenufars and Snowflakes installations; returning favorites include the walk-through Winter Cathedral, an illuminated Texas Flag and a glowing field of Bluebonnets. Santa's Village sits along the route, and Santa visits every evening through December 24 to hear wish lists and pose for keepsake photos. Burgers, frozen custard and seasonal drinks are sold along the trail (outside food is not allowed). Most visitors spend 60 to 90 minutes. The paved route suits strollers and wheelchairs, has seating areas and restrooms, and some installations flash (no strobe lighting). Children under 16 must be with an adult and children under 2 enter free. It is entirely outdoors, so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Dogs are welcome only on the Tails and Trails nights (December 4 and 10), and December 29 is a 21+ night, so plan a family visit for another evening.
