For more than 36 years Richardson has built a tiny North Pole town of holiday cottages in Huffhines Park each December. Each colorful building, from Santa's Post Office to Mrs. Claus' bakery, the KELF TV station, the reindeer shed and Frosty's house, has its own activity for children, and kids can visit Santa Claus. Live performances run nightly on Prancer's Stage, with holiday photo spots and hot chocolate or snacks for sale. Admission, parking and photos with Santa are all free. Full programmed evenings run 6–9 p.m. on Dec 5–6, 11–13 and 18–20; on Dec 7–9 and 14–17 the village is open 9 a.m.–9 p.m. to stroll through and look. A sensory-friendly Adaptive Night is on Thursday Dec 10, 6–8 p.m., and needs free advance tickets (limit 6 per registrant).
