Once a month, Dallas Public Library staff hold an outdoor story time in the Sheila & Jody Grant Children's Park at Klyde Warren Park. The listing calls it a magical morning of storytelling. Sessions in this window are Wednesday mornings, 10–10:30 a.m., on October 21, November 18 and December 16, 2026. It's a short half-hour session that suits babies, toddlers and preschoolers with a caregiver, and you can stay afterwards for the Children's Park play areas. The listing doesn't mention registration or fees. Bring a blanket to sit on, and check the park calendar if the weather looks doubtful, because the session is outdoors.
