About this adventure
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra's family series opens with When Instruments Roamed the Earth!, a comic multimedia concert led by the eccentric 'paleo-musicologist' Sir Humphrey Treble-Clef. Through his invented research, he shows how modern orchestral instruments might have evolved from giant dinosaur-like beasts, with on-stage action and plenty of orchestral color — a light-hearted first symphony concert for elementary-age children. Before the 11 a.m. performance, kids can try instruments at an instrument petting zoo and draw at a coloring station in the hall. Conductor Harris Han leads the orchestra with narrator Ash Vance.
