One-day winter-break camps for ages 5–9 at Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster. Themes change each day: 'Mysteries of the Deep' (Dec 22) explores deep-sea animals, 'Creatures of the Night' (Dec 23) looks at nocturnal critters, 'Poison vs. Venom' (Dec 28) sorts poisonous from venomous bugs, and on Dec 29 two 'Record-Breaking Bugs' camps cover bug athletes' strength and speed and the giants of the buggy world. Days are screen-free and hands-on, include time in the zoo's exhibits, and run 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. for $85 per day. Registration closes one week before each camp; there is no waitlist.
