Apex Park and Recreation District runs a Thanksgiving-themed evening cooking class for kids at its Community Recreation Center on Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada on Monday, November 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Young chefs cook a kid-friendly Thanksgiving feast: they make turkey meatballs from scratch and cheesy crescent rolls, then cut fruit and assemble a turkey-themed fruit platter to eat for dessert or take home. Along the way the class builds basic kitchen skills and lets children try new flavors and sit down to a meal they made themselves.
