About this adventure

A sensory-inclusive performance of Frindle, the stage adaptation of Andrew Clements' novel about Nick Allen, who invents his own word for a pen and sets off a power struggle with his strict language-arts teacher that spreads across the country. Lone Tree Arts Center modifies this hour-long show for children and adults on the autism spectrum and others with sensory sensitivities or developmental disabilities: sound levels stay lower, house lights stay higher, there are no startling noises, audience members may come and go, a quiet room is available, and people wave hands instead of clapping. It suits elementary-age kids who have read or will enjoy the book.
