An evening at the Oakwoods Metropark Nature Center near New Boston exploring how owls see, hear and hunt after dark. After an indoor introduction to Michigan species, the group walks about a mile on a flat, compact gravel trail, listening for calls and using owl-calling techniques in hopes of hearing or spotting an Eastern Screech-Owl. Discussion is encouraged and sound amplification is used. For ages 8 and up; two hours. Four Saturday dates in November; the first is already full.
