One-hour hands-on workshop at Pewabic Pottery in Detroit where one legal guardian (18+) and one child (ages 7 to 15) each create their own tile using terracotta slabs, extra clay and colored slips. Fired tiles are picked up at a later date. Fall dates, all 11 am-12 pm: October 17 (sold out), October 31 (Halloween-themed), November 14, December 5 and December 12. Companion Guardian + Child Magnet Making Workshops ($75 per slot) run Oct 31 12-1 pm, Dec 5 1-2 pm and Dec 12 1-2 pm. The workshop studio is on the second floor with no elevator.
