AB Ford Recreation Center, 100 Lenox, celebrates Halloween in the D on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. As at other participating centers, families can expect activities the city describes as haunted houses, carnival games, face painting, DJs and more; call (313) 628-1197 for exact times. The party is free, part of a City of Detroit program that the city says hands out more than 1.5 million pieces of candy each Halloween season through celebrations across the city.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
All Halloween in the D sites are listed on one City of Detroit page (curl, read 2026-10-21); 'free' comes from the program text ('safe, fun, and free experiences'). The page's sign-up link is for volunteers and participating partners; no family registration is mentioned. ZIP not printed.
